Ortega Car Accident Death Unfortunately, the Ortega Highway in South Orange County claimed another car accident victim today, Nov. 18, 2011. The woman killed was forty-five years of age. The driver is an eighteen year old young man who lives in Lake Elsinore.

He was driving a Ford F150 Pickup Truck in the accident. The crash bent the truck into a U shape around a tree.

The accident happened at approximately 6:00 AM this morning, Friday, Nov. 18, 2011. The young man driving was coming from Lake Elsinore to South Orange County. He was apporaching the area of Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano in South Orange County. He apparently drifted into the right shoulder of the highway and off the road into the tree. He was arrested at the scene under suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. The name of the woman who was his right front seat passenger and died in the crash is being witheld pending notification of her next of kin.
