On November 20, 2010, a strange set of accidents occurred in the same spot on the 241 toll road in Orange County, CA. Three separate crashes occurred on the same day and in the same location. Police reports show that the stretch of road where all three accidents occurred was on the northbound 241 south of Santiago Canyon.
The first accident that occurred in this spot was around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Police responded to the scene where a white pickup truck hit a pole on the 241 toll road. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials say that the next accident occurred about ten minutes after they arrived on the scene of the first accident.
The second accident involved three cars that lost control, spun out, and collided with each other. CHP officers say that there were minor injuries and that no one was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
While a CHP officer was helping the other drivers from the previous car wrecks, another vehicle rear-ended the officer's car. Police officials say that there were no injuries in this third crash.
It was a rainy, wet day on Orange County freeways, which may have contributed to these accidents. Police say that no one was seriously injured in these car crashes. However, they did stop traffic on the 241 toll road for some time.
We are glad to hear that no one involved in these Orange County car accidents sustained any type of serious injury.
